If you are 50 years old or older, once you are registered with MWC, you are entitled to the MWC services.

 

We offer a variety of jobs from Drivers to Administrative to Health and Human Services. These job openings are for full-time, part-time, temporary, contractual, or even home-based.

Tips to be a more successful candidate...

 

  • Become proficient in searching and applying for jobs on the internet.

  • Learn to design and send electronic resumes.

  • Brush up on today′s personal computer programs. Almost all jobs require them these days

  • Brush up on your interview skills, especially on how to overcome the impression of being "overqualified".

  • Dress for today′s workforce - don′t appear outdated.

  • Keep an enthusiastic, positive attitude. Have confidence - you have a lot to offer!

Steps to becoming a Mature Worker Job Seeker...

 

1. REGISTER WITH MWC.

Once we receive your completed registration, we will call you to arrange an appointment with one of our trained Placement Specialists.

 


2. Attach your updated resume in an e-mail to us at jobs@pcoa.org so we may prepare for your Placement Specialist meeting.


3. MEET WITH OUR PLACEMENT SPECIALIST.

Come prepared as if you are going to a job interview.

If you haven′t already e-mailed your updated resume to us, bring one with you.

Discuss your work history and goals. (Plan to spend 45 to 60 minutes in the meeting.)
Take advantage of any number of our training
opportunities to help you become a more
competitive job candidate. (See the “Job Seeker Training” page.)

Choose jobs you would like to pursue (see the "Job Postings" page for current openings.  You won't be able to submit a job choice until you have completed the Placement Specialist interview.)

4. WE WILL REFER YOU TO JOB(S) FOR WHICH YOU QUALIFY.

We will give you information on the employer′s application process for you to proceed.

 

5. PROCEED WITH THE EMPLOYER′S APPLICATION PROCESS.

The final decision to offer the position is always up to the employer. Be well prepared when you meet with him/her.
