| | Would you like to become a part of the Mature Worker Connection team in Pima County, AZ? We′re interested in finding qualified individuals to volunteer for Receptionist, Placement Specialist, Employer Relations Representative, or Recruiter. A brief description of each volunteer position is provided below. | | Receptionists answer, document and direct telephone calls as well as greet applicants and ensure preliminary forms are completed. You will also schedule intake appointments and place reminder telephone calls for next-day appointments. We are looking for friendliness and team players with a desire to serve and help others. We are also looking for strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills. You will work on assigned daily tasks and special assignments as directed.
| | Placement Specialists determine work history, barriers to employment and current job interests of all registered job seekers. You will refer job seekers to job openings and conduct post-referral follow-ups. When appropriate, you will refer job seekers to service providers to enhance their job readiness or quality of life. We are looking for excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge in interview techniques. You will work independently on assigned tasks with some direction given. | Employer Relations Specialists call upon and speak to interested employers, clubs and benevolent organizations to promote MWC services and the value of mature workers in the work place. We are looking for excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
